Gemini for Workspace

Gemini for Workspace is Google’s official AI add-on for Google Workspace. By adding many more AI capabilities to Google Workspace, you can work more easily and efficiently.

Helping you write

No more staring at an empty Google Doc. With Gemini for Workspace you’ll see a ‘Help me write’ button. You can describe what you want to write, and Gemini takes care of it. You then have the option to expand, adjust, shorten the text, or adjust the style (tone of voice).

Helping you visualize

In Google Slides you can generate the images you need in no time. Brand new, generated images. In Google Sheets you can describe what you are looking for, and Gemini for Workspace will make it work. For example, a project plan or more insight from your data.

Helping you connect

Working from home sometimes means working in a low-light environment, resulting in less optimal image quality. With Gemini in Google Meet, you can quickly change the lighting by, for example, adding a virtual spotlight. And your colleagues will be able to add live translated captions to better understand the conversation.

One of the major advantages of Gemini for Workspace is that everything is taken care of in terms of data. AI consumer tools could use your data for learning purposes, thus ‘leaking’ your organization’s data. With Gemini this is not the case.

Gemini for Workspace versus Google’s other AI tools

Google has been doing a lot with AI for many years. The difference with Gemini for Workspace and, for example, the AI tools that are available in Google Cloud Platform is integration. Gemini for Workspace ensures that generative AI becomes available in an easy and secure way within Google Workspace. If your organization is looking to apply AI for data or apps for example, then Google Cloud Platform is the place to be with Vertex AI.
