As a Cloud Architect, you are the technical heartbeat of our customer engagements. You thrive on collaborating with the commercial team to identify opportunities, designing high-level architectures, and crafting the implementation roadmaps that turn vision into reality. You aren’t just a designer; you are a strategic partner who guides clients through their entire cloud journey.
What does your week look like?
The week starts with a team meeting after which you will be fully up-to-date about what is going on in your team, on your projects, but you will also hear how you can help colleagues with their projects. You act as a bridge – consulting with commercial team on new opportunities, developing Terraform templates for fast project delivery according to best practices, and ensuring your current projects are delivering the innovation we promised.
Get to know us:
At NextNovate, we believe that work should be fun. We act as the ultimate guide for innovative frontrunners—such as Zonneplan, Simon Loos, Yource, Mantel, and YoungCapital—navigating them through every aspect of the Google Cloud Platform.
Our mission is to accelerate business transformation by providing expert direction in cloud strategy and implementation. As pioneers in the industry, we lead the way by integrating AI and Gemini tooling, ensuring our clients stay ahead with rapid innovation and high-impact solutions.
Some of the things you are going to do:
- Partner with a commercial team to understand business objectives, present the value of Google Cloud, and design tailored, cost-effective solutions.
- Design robust, secure infrastructure and platform solutions, selecting the right compute, networking, and security components.
- Translate requirements into detailed SOWs and lead projects from initial assessment through to final implementation.
- Analyse complex on-premises or multi-cloud environments to develop strategic migration roadmaps and effort estimations.
- Utilise Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) to ensure consistent, repeatable, and version-controlled cloud environments.
- Provide technical guidance to a small team of engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
What you bring:
- You have experience in a consulting environment and feel comfortable navigating both the boardroom and the “server” room.
- You have deep experience with at least one major cloud provider (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and are ready to apply that knowledge to Google Cloud.
- You are a self-starter who can own a project from the first precommercial team call to the final handover.
- You have hands-on experience deploying cloud infrastructure (VMs, managed DBs, K8S clusters and serverless) via Terraform/OpenTofu.
- You stay ahead of the curve with the latest Google Cloud releases and hold (or are eager to obtain) Professional Cloud certifications.
- You can articulate complex technical concepts in English (Dutch is a plus) to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What we offer:
- A competitive salary (range € 5.000 – € 6.500 depending on experience)
- Car allowance of € 850
- Phone and MacBook Pro
- No hierarchical culture
