Google Cloud Data Architect

You are the sparring partner for some of the most innovative companies in the Netherlands and sometimes far beyond. Together with our customers, you define how they distinguish themselves and gain technological advantages using the latest Google Cloud technology.

You offer technical support for our customers, identify opportunities and risks and ensure broad-based governance of the solutions we provide.

What does your week look like?

The week starts with a team meeting after which you will be fully up-to-date about what is going on in your team, on your projects, but you will also hear how you can help colleagues with their projects. You consult with Sales about opportunities that you need to contribute to and with your own team about the content.

What exactly do we do? We help large companies (such as YoungCapital, Wehkamp, ​​Randstad and citizenM) to work smarter with modern cloud applications such as Google Workspace & Okta and Google Cloud Platform.

Some of the things you are going to do:

  • Collaborate with sales team on customer engagements to define new opportunities
  • Collaborate with sales team to work on high level architecture and implementation plans to support opportunities
  • Work with customer teams to create high level implementation plans and work out these plans into detailed plans including Data Governance
  • Work with customers and NextNovate team members on implementations, with work ranging from PM, to senior consultant/architect to team lead. Also helping by providing experience and insights, provide technical guidance to team members and build concepts for teams to further develop
  • Lead a small team of medior and junior engineers in customer engagements and operational management

What do you love:

  • Working with customers and colleagues to find the optimal infrastructure solutions that allow our customers to get the most out of the cloud
  • Zooming in and getting into details with the big picture in mind to safeguard the principles of the project and / or design
  • Working for local and international clients, so speaking and writing English should not be a problem for you

What skills do you have:

  • Thanks to your practical experience with data pipelines, transformation, CI/CD pipes, BQ & LookML, you are at home in setting up and defining data environments, preferably in Google Cloud, but also another cloud platform or on-premise environment
  • You can acts as a sparring partner for customers and colleagues, both in terms of content and insight
  • You have good insight into the security of infrastructures and applications and able to apply this within the context of data platforms
  • You love to learn new things and challenge yourself and your teammates to keep discovering

What we offer:

  • A competitive salary (range € 4500 – € 7200 depending on experience)
  • Car allowance of € 850,- (for senior position)
